In business for more than a century, this rustic, two-floor restaurant stands in the heart of the historic district. Since 1956, the Da Cesari family has been on hand to welcome you and feed you well, luring you with their classic Bolognese cuisine. The dishes overflow with fresh ingredients deftly handled by the kitchen staff. We could order the tortellini filled with ricotta and spinach with melted butter and freshly grated Parmesan cheese once a month. An old-fashioned barley soup with porcini mushrooms is ideal for that odd cold and rainy day. Such dishes as a sweet-and-sour rabbit with capers and onions, or veal liver with an aromatic glaze with balsamic vinegar, are prepared with consummate skill.
