Frommer's Review
In a 150-year-old building, this restaurant and lounge bar serves the island's finest tapas. The interior is decorated like a hacienda in Mexico with tiles and artifacts, and outdoor seating overlooks the harbor. The tapas always delight, and can be ordered as starters or main courses. Your table can share tapas that include a carpaccio of beef with fresh Parmesan cheese, smoked salmon with red onions, or fried and marinated calamari rings with Greek tzatziki dressing.
Some of the best main courses on a recent menu included coconut shrimp in a creamy ginger sauce, sashimi of tuna with fried vegetables, or the catch of the day served on a potato stuffed with a julienne of vegetables. Lobster is the house specialty and it's prepared in several different ways. For a different taste, we recently enjoyed it cooked in vanilla oil with a risotto of vegetables. For something really Caribbean, finish your meal with bananas fried in a rum sauce and served with vanilla ice cream.
