Frommer's Review
Staying here is like being in your own private villa. This small, intimate retreat in the Santa Barbara Heights district is informally luxurious, and our favorite on the island. Luxuriant foliage envelops the villa, which attracts honeymooners, families, and romantic couples, among others. Each of the beautifully furnished guest rooms comes with a large patio and pool area. All accommodations have vaulted ceilings and tiled floors. Bathrooms are small and rather functional looking, each with a shower. (Only one contains a complete bath with tub and shower.) The little extras make the difference here. The staff will even "brown bag" your breakfast if you've got an early flight, and when you head to the beach they give you thick towels, packed lunches, and cold drinks in coolers for an additional charge. From the villa's tiled patio, you experience a 180-degree vista of the Caribbean, whose color led to the name of the villa. As the sun goes down, you can enjoy happy hour or barbecue by the pool. Menneo de Bree, a dive instructor, will give you valuable diving tips.

| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
