This handsome inn, amid a colony of summer homes on a quiet road above a peaceful cove, is nicely isolated from the hubbub of Boothbay Harbor. Room 8 is a corner unit with brilliant morning light; most requested is room 14, with a fine view and a fireplace with marble mantle. (Note that some 1st-floor rooms open onto a common deck and lack privacy, and all but five have showers only.) The breakfast buffet is sumptuous, with offerings such as tomato-basil frittata and blueberry-stuffed French toast.
