This is my budget pick for the Boothbay region. A clean, no-frills place adjacent to a working boatyard, this inn was originally a coal depot and later a boardinghouse. It still has some boardinghouse informality to it (though all rooms now have small private bathrooms), but you get a lot for your money. Seven rooms face the water; the Hodgon Suite is the largest, located under the eaves with a view of the boatyard.
