Restaurants here primarily are in Matira, on the island's southern end; Povai Bay, on the southwest coast; and in Vaitape village.

Vaitape -- Inexpensive roulottes roll out near the Vaitape small-boat harbor, some during the day when cruise ships are in port. Also in Vaitape, two reasonably priced Chinese restaurants -- Le Panda d'Or (tel. 67.72.70) and Le Cocotier (tel. 67.74.18) -- can be found north of the small boat harbor.
