Frommer's Review
Opened in 2003, this modest but attractive property is one of the better values on the island, especially if you book it as part of a package. It sports a U-shaped, tropical-style public building and an infinity swimming pool beside a palm-draped section of Matira Beach, where the Novotel shares a wide array of watersports with the Sofitel Bora Bora Resort next door. On the other side of the round-island road, the motel-style accommodations occupy two-story buildings dressed up in Tahitian thatch and bamboo; these surround a lush courtyard with lily pond. The medium-size rooms are nicely trimmed with native woods and are comfortably furnished with a queen bed, a built-in settee that can double as a single bed, a desk, a shower-only bathroom, and sliding doors that open to a patio or balcony. You can dine at the Sofitel Motu, but you can't use the other facilities there.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; outdoor pool; watersports equipment/rentals; activities desk; car-rental desk; massage; laundry service
