These safaris are run in a private concession in the western delta bordering Moremi Game Reserve and take you deep into the wetlands. Expect to spend between 4 and 6 hours a day in the saddle. Minimum riding ability required is a mastery of the basics, including an ability to trot for stretches of 10 minutes at a time and -- even more important -- the ability to gallop out of trouble! The maximum weight limit is 95 kg (210 lb.). The tack is English style, and each saddle has a seatsaver for comfort. Trail riders move from Kujwana Camp (spacious safari tents with shower en-suite and flush toilets) to Moklowane (tents have bucket-and-pulley showers and safari toilets) to Fly Camp (dome tents with camp beds, long drop toilets, and bucket showers). A maximum of eight riders is taken, and the safaris last between 5 and 10 days.
