This motel, a series of connected, cabin-style units with bright red trim near the east gate of Boulder Canyon, dates from 1930 but has been fully modernized. The location is inspiring, on the west edge of town where city meets mountains, and right across the street is the top end of the Boulder Creek Path and the trail head that leads to the summit of Flagstaff Mountain. The pleasant pine-walled cabins are furnished with queen or double beds and individual water heaters; two suites are big enough for families and outfitted with full kitchens and a shared hot tub.
