Frommer's Review
The proprietors of this former Ramada and Holidome have outdone every chain motel in town. The Outlook is fun, fresh, and definitively Boulder, with such unique perks as two bouldering rocks (one is 11 ft. high, the other 4 ft.), a fenced 4,000-square-foot dog run, and an ecologically conscious approach and comprehensive recycling program. The brightly painted motel has 40 rooms that have an outdoor entrance; the rest are accessed indoors. Overall, the rooms are larger than average and contemporary; the baths, nicely tiled. In-room recycling containers and all-natural bath amenities are two more distinctly Boulder touches. The indoor pool is superb, complete with a waterfall and a mural of a cloud-speckled sky, and the bar and grill here features live music Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, as well as Wednesdays during the school year.
