Wilmington fans of trains and antique cars have visited this home of an impressive collection of Stanley Steamer cars and a miniature train for special events for years. A state park historic site since 2008, it opens to tourists 8 Sundays a year and the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Additional openings should be added by 2010. Visitors can look over the collection of pristine Stanley Steamer automobiles lovingly collected by the Marshall family, ride the one-eighth scale steam engine train around the property, enjoy performances, bring a picnic, and tour the 1897 granite Victorian home. The 200 wooded acres are lovely and peaceful.
