A quirky, local alternative to the Radisson SAS Carlton if you have a higher budget but want something a little different. The Devin dates from the 1950s and was once the hotel of choice for visiting Communist dignitaries. It's been thoroughly scoured and spruced up since then, but you'll still find a sort of old-school regalness to the well-proportioned rooms, as well as the lobby and reception area. The adjoining cafe is a classic midcentury period piece. The location, just away from the Old Town, along the Danube, is excellent and especially convenient to the ferry docks. Parking and access to the hotel is easy, since the freeway runs nearby.
