Sometimes the term "boutique hotel" is code word for "our rooms are shoebox size, but boy are they cute!" That's certainly the case with the Berkeley Square; bring a large suitcase, and you may need the agility of a gymnast to get over it and around the room. That being said, the rooms have a crisp look with white walls and bedding and pops of color (mostly royal blue). They're nowhere near as glam as the chic lobby (which often doubles as a gallery, exhibiting local artists) but they're comely nonetheless. And the prices here are quite good for the hotel with this central a location (right off a lovely and quiet square). Finally, who doesn't like to have a free decanter of sherry and a bowl of fruit in their room? Those last two items are the quirky touches management uses to make up for the lilliputian digs.
