Introduction to Broadway

24km (15 miles) SW of Stratford-upon-Avon; 150km (93 miles) NW of London; 24km (15 miles) NE of Cheltenham

The showcase village of the Cotswolds, if you don't mind the summer coach tours, Broadway is the most overrun village in the Cotswolds. Many prime attractions of the Cotswolds, including Shakespeare Country, are nearby. Flanked by honey-colored stone buildings, its High Street is a gem, remarkable for its harmonious style and design from a point overlooking the lovely Vale of Evesham. Once you've toured the main street and walked up and down it once, you've done Broadway. More adventurous visitors will want to settle in one of the less overrun towns -- Chipping Campden nearby would be ideal.
