In a well-maintained 19th-century town house, this graceful hotel has unusually spacious and quiet rooms. They don't quite measure up to the Victorian elegance of the public spaces, but are adequately furnished, with comfortable modern beds, soft carpeting, and floral-pattern curtains. Some rooms, ideal for families and small groups, can be used as quads or even quints.
