Frommer's Review
This place brings new meaning to the phrase "greasy spoon," since everything in here seems to be greasy -- from the slippery floor to the railings, glasses, and dishes. Even the walls and the artwork on them seem to bleed grease. Thankfully, the food more than makes up for the atmosphere. This is one of San Telmo's best parrillas, and a flood of locals and tourists, often lined up waiting at the door, keeps the place hopping. This is especially true on Sunday or when there's a game on television, and everyone comes here to watch and eat under the blaring television suspended over the dining area. The decor in this two-level restaurant is unassuming, homey, and full of mismatched wooden chairs, tablecloths, and silverware. The food, mostly consisting of thick, well-cooked, and fatty steaks, is great. Though prices here are slightly higher than in other parrillas, your meal will be worth the price.
