NH Hotel Crillon

This 50-year-old French-style hotel enjoys an outstanding location adjacent to Plaza San Martín, next to some of the city's best sights and shops. Having completed a renovation in 2002, the Crillon has become more comfortable, with guest rooms refitted with nicer furniture and better linens. A business center, racquetball and squash courts, gym, and sauna have been added. The hotel is popular with European and Brazilian business travelers, and offers high-tech conveniences such as wireless Internet access and cellphones. The hotel was also recently added to the NH company, a Spanish hotel chain with several properties in Buenos Aires. Deluxe rooms enjoy views of Santa Fe and Esmeralda; the suites (with Jacuzzis) overlook Plaza San Martín. Stay away from interior rooms, which have no views. The hotel staff is extremely helpful.
