Frommer's Review
This establishment offers a combination of standard hotel rooms (which are very large) and apartments, and is part of the Argentine-owned Amerian hotel chain. It opened in 2003, after a renovation of the former office structure, and it offers all the usual services of a hotel. The decor is simple and none of the rooms have great views, due to the hotel's side-street location and the fact that it's surrounded by buildings of generally the same height. Still, for a location in an office district, it is very quiet. A covered, unheated rooftop swimming pool is a nice touch, and there's a small sauna on the premises, too. Most of the rooms also have kitchens or microwaves, making it ideal for long-terms stays. The main disadvantage here is that Internet access is not available in the rooms, and the business center is small, meaning you might have to rely on locutorios (phone centers). Stairs to the elevator bay also make this a bad option for people with limited mobility. However, because the hotel is new and in a renovated structure, the chain is making improvements as they go along, so you may find added amenities in the near future. For instance, as of this writing, the hotel plans to add in-room Internet access by the end of 2007. Internet access is free in the business center, and the lobby has free Wi-Fi. This is a good-value hotel in terms of size, price, and amenities, in spite of its few deficiencies.
