Adam's Mark

Walk into the mammoth lobby and it's immediately clear that this 486-room hotel is all business -- there are even video monitors listing current airline arrivals and departures in real time. Beyond the dozen-plus meeting facilities catering to everyone from bridge players to motivational speakers, you'll find a bevy of amenities aimed at satisfying the convention crowds, including a nice pool and exercise area. Accommodations range from single rooms to bi-level suites, all sporting suitable business-class furniture, and all guaranteeing the rare treat of windows that actually open. While the rooms were renovated in 2007, the hotel's new owners (as of 2009) were planning major upgrades when we went to press: Goodbye Adam's Mark, hello Crowne Plaza. The new flag should fly by May 2010.
