White Horse Hotel (Bach Ma)

Newly built and popular, the Bach Ma is a good, clean place with friendly front-desk service and good support for trips to the countryside or businesses in the area -- many of the expatriate coffee buyers stay here for want of anything better -- but nothing about the place is luxurious. The lobby's attempt at grandiosity starts and ends with a towering marble statue of an ancient Greek woman greeting you in the lobby and open elevators with views of the town. Double rooms are downright bedilicious, with two large double beds dominating the space, but in just a large, plain, white-tile room. VIP rooms are not worth the extra bucks. They may come with a computer and the bonus of a shower curtain, but the carpets are stained and the sitting room is a separate room dominated by cheap leather couches.
