Château d'Audrieu ReviewThis château in a park offers the most luxurious accommodations near Caen. It was built of local stone (pierre de Caen) at the beginning of the 18th century. During the invasion, some of the fiercest fighting took place around it. Notice the gashes in the trees in the park. The château functioned as a private home until 1976, when it became a hotel.
