Located in the popular Eau Claire Market complex, the lively Joey Tomato's serves Italian/Asian fusion cooking to throngs of appreciative Calgarians. And no wonder it's often packed with the city's young and tanned: The food is really good, the prices moderate (by the city's standards), and there's a lively bar scene. What more could you want? Thin-crust pizzas come with zippy, cosmopolitan choices such as tandoori chicken. Pasta dishes are just as unorthodox, with dishes such as linguini and smoked chicken, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime-cream sauce. The wide-ranging menu includes steaks, fresh fish, and stir-fried veggies. It's a fun, high-energy place to eat, and the food is always worth trying.
