Brava began as an offshoot of a successful catering company, and has now evolved from fine dining house to a Mediterranean-style bistro. Happily, the food is as good as ever. In the relaxed, beautifully lit dining room, you can try a variety of dishes, from elegant appetizers and boutique pizzas to traditional main courses with contemporary zest. For an appetizer, try seared scallops with buttered spinach and truffled vichyssoise. Among the entrees, the sautéed salmon with beets and horseradish is deliciously complex and colorful, while the homey rotisserie chicken or beef ribs with creamy polenta are tempting when comfort food feels more appropriate. The wine list is large and well priced.
