The 195m (640-ft.) tower on the summit of Black Mountain is both landmark and must-see attraction for every first time visitor to Canberra. From the top, the open-air and enclosed viewing galleries provide magnificent 360-degree views over the city and the surrounding countryside. The tower also provides telecommunications facilities for the city and most people still refer to it by its former name, Telstra Tower. There's no bus service there.
