On the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, The Boat House is a pleasant dining retreat with uninterrupted water views. The large dining room's floor-to-ceiling windows capture the view, and the outside terrace is a nice spot on a sunny day for lunch. To start, try Coffin Bay oysters, either natural with lemon, or topped with litchi, avocado, and chile salsa. Then go for Japanese peppered beef filet on garlic mashed potatoes with braised mushrooms, asparagus tempura, and wasabi hollandaise sauce. The wine list features local vintages.
