Situated adjacent to the Nichupté Lagoon, this recent arrival to Cancún's dining scene is the Hotel Zone's top steakhouse. The dining room and waterfront terrace combine local stone and wood with burnt orange marble and large expanses of glass to create a sense of California chic. The attentive waitstaff brings to your table a tempting selection of different cuts of beef, as well as a presentation from the raw bar. The New York strips, rib-eyes, and other cuts of beef are broiled in a 927°C (1,700°F) oven, while the fish and seafood are grilled on a parilla. A la carte selections blend Mexican and Asian influences, with fascinating results such as lobster pozole, crab wontons with spicy plum sauce, and jasmine rice balls with tuna steak. Don't expect a kids' menu here: Even the Kobe beef burger is so big (and expensive) it could feed a family. A selection of over 500 international and Mexican boutique wines accompanies the menu. This is also one of the few restaurants in Cancún serving kosher options.
