Dreams Cancún Resort & Spa

The all-inclusive Dreams Resort enjoys one of the island's most idyllic locations -- 29 hectares (72 acres) at the tip of Punta Cancún. The setting is casual, and the hotel welcomes children. Bright colors and strategic angles define the design, which now looks somewhat dated relative to Cancún's newer establishments. There are two sets of rooms to choose from: those in the 17-story club section with ocean views and extra services and amenities, and those in the pyramid overlooking the dolphin-filled lagoon. The all-inclusive concept here includes meals, 24-hour room service, and premium-brand drinks, as well as the use of all resort amenities, nonmotorized watersports, theme-night entertainment, and tips. Use of the spa costs extra. One of the resort's restaurants is Paloma Bonita, for Mexican cuisine. Unfortunately, service at the resort is inconsistent, perhaps owing to the all-inclusive concept.
