Frommer's Review
Marriott Casa Magna [STST] [kds] -- This sprawling Marriott resort is one of the most enticing family destinations in Cancún. Entering through a half-circle of Roman columns, you pass through a domed foyer to a wide, lavishly marbled lobby filled with plants and shallow pools. It looks out to the sparkling pool and Jacuzzi at the edge of the beach. Guest rooms are decorated with Mexican-Caribbean furnishings and tiled floors; most have oceanview balconies. The hotel caters to family travelers with specially priced packages (up to two children stay free with parent) and the Kids' Club Amigos supervised children's program. Among the many places to dine here, the tepanyaki-style (cook-at-your-table) Mikado Japanese restaurant is the best.
