Coco Bongo

Continuing its reputation as the hippest venue in town, CoCo Bongo combines an enormous dance club with extravagant theme shows: Think flying acrobats, bar-top conga lines, soap bubbles, and confetti streamers. It has no set dance floor -- you dance anywhere, and that includes on the tables, on the bar, and even on the stage with the occasional live band. This place regularly packs in as many as 1,800 people -- you have to experience it to believe it. Despite its capacity, lines are long on weekends and in high season. The music alternates between Caribbean, salsa, house, hip-hop, techno, and classics from the '70s, '80s, and '90s. Open from 10:30pm to 3:30am, CoCo Bongo draws a hip young crowd.
