Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront ReviewOn the outskirts of the Waterfront (500m/1,640 ft. from the mall entrance), the Radisson enjoys an exceptional setting -- right on the sea, with waves spraying off the rocks just beyond the popular outdoor terrace and garden area. Behind the hotel looms the glowing hulk of the new Green Point Stadium. The price reflects the location -- almost every room, furnished in dark blues and gold -- has a fine sea view. There's no beach, however, and service is lackluster for the price. To be near the ocean, I'd rather stay in one of the intimate spaces on the Atlantic seaboard or around the southern part of the peninsula. This place, with its preppy nautical theme and mall-like overtones, is a throwback to anonymous hotels everywhere.
