Frommer's Review
This is the best-dressed joint in Camps Bay, on a par with Kensington in the City Bowl, but with the added benefit of an endless ocean horizon. Public spaces are gorgeous -- dark timber boxes framing the blue sky and sea -- and belie its size: The house accommodates only 10 guests, but no expense has been spared, with wonderful touches like a large fish tank where tropical fish oversee the breakfast diners and a great photographic mural that covers the entire double-volume stairwell. But it is the rooms that are the real winners, the kind you'd be happy to cut short a day of sightseeing for so that you can luxuriate in cozy luxury. The three sea-view rooms on the top floor are the most popular, but the garden room, which has a private outdoor area and alfresco shower, is the biggest and most charming. The room downstairs (no. C6) on the pool level is less private. A manager is always on duty (the two I met were lovely), but, given the perfection of the decor, oversights like a skewed lampshade and untended bits of garden could potentially grate.
