Frommer's Review
This is the best hotel in Capri, affording breathtaking views over the island and the gulfs, and absolutely perfect service. Richly decorated with artwork and antiques, it merges classical elegance with modern style and is surrounded by a lovely landscaped garden. The elegant guest rooms are large and furnished in colonial style, with bed canopies, hand-painted ceramic floors, and luxurious marble bathrooms. Many of the rooms open onto a private terrace or garden, and the best have heated private pools. The hotel's restaurant Olivo not only enjoys an unmatched setting but also is the best restaurant on the island -- and one of the best in the whole region -- thanks to the creative cuisine of chef Oliver Glowig. (The restaurant closes simultaneously with the hotel except for 10 days during the Christmas to New Year period).
Facilities:
2 restaurants; 2 bars; babysitting; concierge; laundry service; lounge; outdoor pool; room service; spa

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
