Marriott Playa Grande ReviewThis new hotel ups the ante on the coast. Rooms are large, sparkling, and well equipped. Rooms on the higher floors have excellent views, and most of these overlook the Caribbean sea. The small health club and gym are top notch, and the common areas and restaurants are up to snuff. There's a small protected cove of a beach a block or so away, but it's far from spectacular; you're better off sticking to the delightful pool. The hotel is only a few miles from the airport, but be forewarned: It's in a somewhat sketchy area, there's little to do or see nearby, and walking around on your own is discouraged.
