Arriving

By Train -- There is no train service to Caramulo.

By Bus -- From Lisbon, you must go to Tondela and then make connections into Caramulo. You can also go from Lisbon to Viseu and then ride the bus to Caramulo, though you'll have to allow at least 5 hours. Or you can take the train from Lisbon to Coimbra, a bus to Tondela, and another bus to Caramulo.

ByCar -- The village is usually approached from Viseu. Follow N2 south for some 24km (15 miles) to Tondela, and then take a right onto N230 and follow signs for Caramulo for about 19km (12 miles).

Visitor Information

The Caramulo Tourist Office is on Estrada Principal do Caramulo (tel. 23/286-14-37). It's open daily 9am to 1pm and 3 to 6pm.
