Nightlife centers on rue Omer-Sarraut in La Bastide and place Marcou in La Cité. La Bulle, 115 rue Barbacane (tel. 04-68-72-47-70), explodes with techno and rock dance tunes for an under-30 crowd that keeps the place hopping until 5am Wednesday to Sunday. The cover charge begins at 10€ ($13) per person. Another enduringly popular disco, 4km (2 1/2 miles) southwest of town, is Le Black Bottom, route de Limoux (tel. 04-68-47-37-11), which plays every conceivable kind of dance music Thursday to Sunday beginning at 11pm. Entrance costs 10€ ($13) only on Saturday.
