About our rating systemQuietly elegant as well as comfortable and inviting, this is the best restaurant in Carlsbad. It's located in an historic building, constructed as a bank in 1892 and now an excellent hotel. There's lots of wood, large windows, and dazzling chandeliers, and the service is friendly and efficient. The dinner menu includes plenty of pasta—from hearty beef lasagna to chicken marsala (our favorite)—to an excellent grilled Norwegian salmon and equally delicious black Angus filet mignon. The lunch menu offers top sirloin burgers, sandwiches, grilled salmon, and salads.
