Because Casa is Morocco's economic hub, as well as a forced stopover for some travelers flying in and out of the country, many of the city's hotels operate close to full capacity for most of the year. No matter where you intend to stay in Casa, book ahead or arrive early. Summer in the city center can be quite oppressive, with little of the Atlantic's sea breeze making its way into the concrete jungle. Rooms with air-conditioning are considered a necessity for most travelers during this time. During the winter months, however, Casa can get extremely cold, and a room heater can be the difference between a good night's sleep and a bad one. During these off-season months, it's also worth asking for a discount.

All hotels in the medina, and many of the budget establishments located close to the CTM bus station, have not been recommended, as I consider them overpriced and underequipped. Some national and international hotel chains are represented in Casa, and are mostly characterless, concrete blocks located along avenue des F.A.R. The following are all located in the city center and have something special to offer -- be it location, value for money, personal service, or a combination of all three.
