All visitors, including those from U.S. and the British Commonwealth countries, must have a valid return or ongoing ticket. All persons 12 years of age or older are charged a departure tax of CI$20 (US$25/£12). Tax is included in the airfare.
Passports -- All U.S. citizens traveling to the Cayman Islands must carry a valid passport. Canadian and U.K. citizens are not required to carry a passport but need to provide proof of citizenship, such as an original birth certificate with a raised seal or a notarized copy of a birth certificate, and a valid government-issued photo ID. Citizens of all other nations need a passport for entry into the Cayman Islands. Travelers who carry passports must ensure their passport is valid for up to six months after the scheduled date of return to the home country.
Remember, if you are not a U.S. citizen and you are stopping in or traveling through the U.S., or a U.S. territory (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) before arriving in the Cayman Islands, you will need a passport and possibly a U.S. visa.
