Frommer's Review
With its large windows overlooking a bustling intersection, its good and modestly priced food, and its fun atmosphere, this discovery attracts a young crowd. Fresh, informal, and healthful, the cuisine contains any number of delightful dishes, including imaginative soups, appetizers, and salads. Try the cold cucumber with yogurt soup, or a portobello mushroom topped with sweet pepper and lavender sauce. Or go for the savory shrimp, crawfish, and scallops with sun-dried tomatoes; grilled filet of beef; or the grilled seafood cakes in a Sambucca sauce. A special treat is Parmesan-basil-encrusted salmon with sweet mashed potatoes. Most dishes are at the lower end of the price scale. Live jazz is heard on the mezzanine Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm to 2am.
