Planning a Trip

Getting There

Regular L 337 bus service to Chinchón from Plaza Conde Casal (Metro: Conde Casal) is provided by La Veloz (tel. 91-409-76-02 for latest fares and timetables). Chinchón can also be reached from Aranjuez, which is only a 15-minute ride away. Buses run twice a day from Aranjuez, but only Monday through Friday, leaving from Calle Almíbar next to the Plaza de Toros in Aranjuez. Schedules tend to be erratic, so call for information (tel. 91-891-01-83). A one-way fare is around 1.80€.

You can find an alternative route to Chinchón if you're driving from Alcalá de Henares to Toledo. Halfway along the southwesterly C-300 bypass around the capital, turn off at the signs to CUEVAS DE CHINCHON. Another option is to take the E-901 southeast of Madrid toward Valencia, turning southwest at the turnoff for Chinchón.
