Frommer's Review
I walked into Huntley House and never wanted to leave. It deserves every superlative you can think of, with "opulent" and "elegant" on top of the list. A grand old home combined with modern new apartments built in the same period style, it hides down a long, leafy drive just 7 minutes in either direction from the city and the airport. I fell in love with the plushness of the five homestead rooms, but the modern one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom apartments overlooking the pool are equally enticing. Opened in December 2004, this is now one of Christchurch's top stays.
