The Chateau on the Park is an odd-mash up of influences and styles. Sets of armor are placed in a lobby that looks like it was frozen in place in the 1970's. Some 2 hectares (5 acres) of lush greenery surround the place, yet many rooms only get views of the roof and its air-conditioning vents. Dated furnishings fill most rooms, but service from the staff is comparable to what you'd get in a much more luxurious hotel. The good news here is that prices tend to be quite fair (search online and you'll likely find a better rate than what we have listed here), Wi–Fi is free (a rarity) and rooms are large enough for families.  If you do stay here, we'd say the Hagley wing gives the best pool and garden views.
