More than 125 years old, this 75-acre zoo is America's second oldest and one of its best. More than one million people visit the museum each year to see more than 500 animal and 3,000 plant species. Favorites include the exotic collection of felines (including some white lions); the creatures of the zoo's 75 acres include elephants, manatees, polar bears, and a children's zoo. New in 2008 were unusual red-crowned cranes and an adorable baby bearcat named Lucy.
