Price Canyon Ranch Review

Despite the address listed, this ranch is in Arizona, although just barely. Price Canyon is northeast of Douglas off U.S. 80 and down a 7 1/2-mile dirt road. Can you say remote? If you're looking to get away from it all and do some cowboying (or cowgirling), this is your best bet in the area. The ranch guest rooms have a luxurious, modern rancho-deluxe feel with the sort of furnishings you might expect to find in Scottsdale or Tucson. Set in the southern foothills of the Chiricahua Mountains, Price Canyon Ranch is a mix of grasslands and forests that provides loads of great horseback-riding opportunities. Whether you just want to head out on an easy trail ride or join the ranch cowboys checking on the herd and riding fences, you've got plenty of options here. Guests can even help with monthly cattle drives.

Facilities:
Dining room; Jacuzzi; outdoor pool

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
