British Airways (tel. 0845/733-3377 in Glasgow) flies directly to Tyree from Glasgow, with about six 90-minute flights per week (none on Sun). A car ferry sails from Oban to Coll (a 3-hr. trip, costing £20/$38 round-trip) and Tyree (an extra 45 min.), but in very rare instances gales may force cancellation of the trip. If the gale is very strong, you might be stranded on an island for a while, waiting for the next departure.
