Frommer's Review
This hotel comes as a surprise in Cologne because it's so different from its competitors -- an oasis of feng shui with an array of orchids and open spaces, plus a beautiful teak bar in the front. Light is the focal point of the architects' philosophy, and the staff is trained in offering individualized hospitality. The hotel is a unique blend of materials, some of it old such as fine oak wood. But it's also as modern as tomorrow with its Kreon lamps creating shifting patterns of light. The bathrooms with shower and tub are laid out in a sleek, contemporary fashion, and the minimalist bedrooms are comfortable with an elegant design that relies on simplicity more than clutter. Only breakfast is provided, but there are many good restaurants nearby.
