The Otesaga, 60 Lake St. (tel. 800/348-6222 or 607/547-9931; www.otesaga.com), has a renowned course that consistently rates among the nation's top resort courses. Even if you're not a duffer, it's worth checking out the intimidating 18th tee, which sits on an island; you have to hit back over the water toward the hotel. Greens fees are $80 for guests, $90 nonguests; save $25 by teeing off after 3pm.
