RestaurantsCooperstown is many good things, but a foodie destination isn't one of them. Luckily, there are exceptions -- the places listed here, and the wonderful restaurant at the American Hotel . For an early-morning or late-afternoon treat, grab a doughnut at Schneider's Bakery, 157 Main St. (tel. 607/547-9631), and don't forget to sample the apple dumplings and other yummy things at the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard, 288 Goose St., Fly Creek (tel. 800/505-6455).
