Getting There

By Air -- Elmira-Corning Regional Airport, 276 Sing Sing Rd., Horseheads (tel. 607/795-0402; www.ecairport.com), serviced by Northwest and US Airways, is 12 miles from downtown Corning.

By Car -- Corning is directly off Route 17/I-86 and a straight shot along Route 414 south of Watkins Glen; from the south, take Route 15. Elmira is off Route 17/I-86, just 20 minutes east of Corning.

By Bus -- Trailways (tel. 607/734-2001; www.trailways.com) travels to Elmira and its terminal at 100 E. Church St.

Getting Around

The Corning Museum of Glass operates a free shuttle service daily from 8am to 6pm, from the museum along Cedar Street to Market Street and back.
