Just outside Thomastown on the road to Kilkenny, this tearoom and small garden is operated by a local group that helps mentally and physically handicapped people. The cafe serves lunch, tea, and baked goods; meals are prepared with organic vegetables and meats raised on the community farm. Lunches include sandwiches made with home-baked bread, soups, and a vegetable or meat pâté. Buy a ticket to the garden (admission €2.50/$3.25) and you can take a stroll along a trickling stream; there's also a garden shop.
